A SIMPLE BACKGROUND & A HEAVILY TEXTURED PIECE

This work on paper was done in a flash! I simply collaged some tissue here and there, added acrylic paint, and then stamped on a little visual texture. While I do think it stands on its own merit, it could also be used as the base for a journal page or the background for a collage.

6" x 6" canvas board served as a sturdy support for this quickie. Fabric, mesh, texture medium, and acrylic paints made fast work of it. I sealed the dried painting with matte medium, in keeping with the heavy texture.

  2. Gotta love tissue paper! My family thinks I'm nuts - whenever we are at a birthday party I am the crazy lady that runs around collecting all of the tissue paper and neatly folding it and stuffing it in my purse! It's wonderful stuff and the color choices are endless:) I always love your posts - have a great Valentine's Day.
