Triads are equidistant on the color wheel. |
A Complementary color scheme, like the one below, uses the two colors that, uh, complement each other! They are pairs of colors found opposite each other on the color wheel. Below, the intermediate red-violet is complemented by yellow-green.
Handling colour well is always a challenge, appreciate the tips and insights. Would love to win the mag :-)

ReplyDeleteHi Paula: The complimentary color scheme is my fav, with fuchsia and lime being my fav colors. The triadic scheme is particularly vibrant, isn't it? "Cloth, Paper & Scissors" mag is so lovely and extravagant. I'm sure I'd enjoy reading your essay. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI love inspirational magazines! What a lovely offer! Usually I'm a fan of blue, but I am drawn to the yellow and orange piece this morning.
ReplyDeleteMy thanks go to Sandi and Jinxxy with my apologies for not having more copies of the magazine to send you. Please do try again with another contest, since I have them fairly often.
